Maryville Water & Sewer Dept will have E Harper closed from Griffits St to Rice until noon today to repair a water leak. The City of Maryville Street Division has closed Horn Street from East Broadway Avenue to Old Knoxville Pike until at least 3:30 p.m. today to repair an excessively large pothole in the road.
Maryville Water & Sewer Dept will have Montgomery closed from Linda to Scenic for the rest of the day today to install a sewer tap.
The Maryville Water & Sewer Department will close Indiana Avenue, from Cates to Montvale Rd for sewer replacement and Neff Street from Washington to East St for fire alarm tap all day Tuesday, December 12. Traffic will be detoured in these locations.
The City of Maryville Engineering & Public Works Street Division will have one lane of Best Street closed from Anderson Avenue to Belleville Avenue from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The crews will be installing storm drains.
Update: Crews will keep the lane closure through 1 p.m.

The City of Maryville Water & Sewer Department staff is expecting a section of Best Street to remain closed through the weekend and possibly through Wednesday, November 8 while repairs are underway. The water main break that occurred on Wednesday, November 1 appears to have (included) a stormwater drain slip that caused water to wash away soil underneath the pipe (and a water main break at the same location). Crews (have repaired) the water main (and are replacing 100’ of 18” stormwater pipe.) Best Street will remain closed to through traffic from Anderson Avenue to Boyd Avenue. Motorists will be detoured around the closure until repairs are complete. Tractor trailers and larger trucks must take an alternate route. For more information call 273-3304. The Maryville Water & Sewer Department will have Forest Avenue closed from Singleton Street to Sunnyside Street until noon today.
The City of Maryville Water & Sewer Department has reported a water main break at the intersection of Best Street and Belleville Avenue. Best Street will be closed to through traffic until further notice from Anderson Avenue to Boyd Avenue. Motorists will be detoured around the closure until repairs are complete. Tractor-trailers and larger trucks must take an alternate route. Work is expected to continue at least through the end of the day tomorrow and possibly longer, updates will be posted as needed.
Contractors continue resurfacing work on McCammon Avenue as well as Boardman Avenue on Friday, October 20. Final striping and pavement markings will begin today. City staff anticipates completion of the majority of this work Tuesday, October 24.
While the resurfacing work is in progress, motorists will experience partial lane closures and flagged traffic, but no detours are expected. For more information call (865) 273-3500. |
