Atmos Energy and Pipeline Construction will have the southbound lane of S. Cusick St. closed from E. Broadway Ave. to W. Church Ave. on Wednesday, November 2nd, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for gas line installation.

The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department will have a section of Best Street closed from Oleary Lane to Karrow Street on Wednesday, October 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. This closure will include the entrance to the recycling center on Best Street, and Sandy Springs Park will be accessible from the Karrow St. entrance only. Crews will be working on a sewer crossing during the closure.
For more information, call the Water and Sewer Department at 865-273-3301. Atmos Energy will begin a gas line replacement project downtown along Church Avenue today, October 10, 2022. The work will require the closure of the northeast-bound lane from Cates to Norwood.
The first phase of the work will start at Cates Street and work towards Cusick Street with plans to finish this section by Thanksgiving. The next phase will continue along Church Avenue from Cusick to Norwood. This project is expected to be completed in January 2023. Motorists should consider an alternate route. The City of Maryville Electric Department will have Manning Lane closed from Old Knoxville Hwy. to Wayne Circle today, Friday, September 9. Crews will be trimming trees near the power lines until approximately 2:30 p.m.

2:36 p.m. Crews have finished repairing Court Street and have reopened the road. Wednesday, September 7, 2022 Court Street will be closed from Hwy. 321 to Boardman Ave. for several hours while City crews work to fix a sink hole. Traffic will be detoured to Montvale Road until approximately 3 p.m. today. The City of Maryville Engineering and Public Works Department will close E. Church Street from E. Church Ave. to E. Harper Ave beginning Friday, August 26, and continuing through Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Crews will be working on the bridge deck.

Motorists who travel the area should expect to encounter large equipment, lane closures and significant delays. Please slow down and use extreme caution as workers will be present. A Section of W. Broadway Ave. Will be Closed to Westbound Traffic Wednesday, July 20, 20227/19/2022 Contractors working for the city of Maryville will close W. Broadway Ave., Wednesday, July 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. while crews prepare the road for paving. Only westbound traffic will be impacted. Motorists will need to turn left onto Old Niles Ferry Road and proceed to Montgomery Lane where they will be able to re-enter W. Broadway. Please slow down and use extreme caution in the area.
A gas line leak on East Broadway Ave. near Marion St. is causing a temporary road closure. Fire Department personnel and Atmos Gas Company are on scene to ensure repairs are made and the area is safe. We expect the road to be reopened soon. More information will be posted as it is available.
