The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department is currently working to repair some sinkholes that developed last week during a water main break on High Street. The road will be closed from Court Street to College Street today, Monday, July 10 until approximately 4:30 p.m.

Previously, a single stop-sign at the intersection of Best Street and Montvale Station Road managed traffic. An intersection evaluation revealed site distance issues and difficulty for traffic turning left onto Montvale Station Road. Therefore, engineers determined that it should become an all-way stop-controlled intersection. This change is expected to be in effect on Monday, June 12, 2023. Please exercise caution when traveling through the intersection during the transition. For more information, contact the Engineering and Public Works Department at 865-273-3500. The City of Maryville Engineering and Public Works Department will close Madison Avenue from N. 5th Street to N. 6th Street today, June 8, for sidewalk and concrete work. The closure will be in place from 10 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m.
