Crews have extended the time of completion to this evening. City of Maryville Water and Sewer has the intersection of East Broadway and Everett Avenue closed today, Tuesday, November 5 for water main repairs. The work is expected to be completed early afternoon. Detour signs will be in place. Because of the work, Everett Avenue will be closed near East Broadway. We will have the intersection - middle lane - of East Broadway and Everett Avenue closed until around 8 p.m. tonight to repair the road after a water main break. Additional closures may be required. Please use caution in the area.
City of Maryville Water & Sewer will have one lane closed in the Haig Street / Foch Street area for a water line installation. The closure is expected until 3 p.m. today (Friday, October 18.) Traffic will be flagged and no detours are required.
Lambert Lane between Larry Road and Lisa Drive will be closed beginning Wednesday, October 2 until Friday October 11. Crews will be installing sewer and stormwater pipe. Detours will be marked and local traffic will have access.
Maryville Water and Sewer Department will have Woodthrush Drive closed today until approximately 2 p.m. to repair a water main break. Local traffic will need to enter from Robin Road.
Update 9/26/19
Sensors at Court Street have been restored, but will require final paving to be complete before back to 100% efficiency. Montvale was replaced but work continues there tonight. Broadway Ave, Home Ave, and Watkins are in progress, sensors have not been replaced yet. Posted 9/25/19 Traffic signals have been affected by the TDOT US 321 resurfacing project in the city. TDOT contractor, APAC-Harrison is performing the resurfacing work. Part of the process includes grinding the existing surface which destroys the vehicle sensor loops installed under the surface. As the grinding moves through the city, several traffic signals will be impacted. A TDOT contractor is responsible for repairing the sensors after the grinding is complete. We understand the sensor repair work will take up to two weeks. Maryville-Alcoa Central Traffic Operations personnel will adjust traffic signals to operate as efficiently as possible, but without the vehicle sensor loops, the signals will not be functioning as efficiently. The entire resurfacing project is expected to be complete by late October. Motorists should allow extra time for travel while this work is in progress. For more information, contact 273-3500. Update 9/6
Crews continue to work on the pipe replacement and road repair. The road will remain closed until approximately 3:00 p.m. Friday. Update 9/5 While crews continue working to repair Eagleton Road, full closure will be required for all or part of the day. Eagleton is closed from Carlton Court to Lincoln Road. Follow detour signs for access around the affected area. 9/4 City of Maryville Engineering and Public Works has closed Lincoln Road at Eagleton Road due to a stormwater pipe failure near Trinity Presbyterian Church. The pipe failure has caused a hole to develop in the road. Crews are working to resolve the issue and expect the road will remain closed for the next couple of days. Currently traffic can leave Eagleton Road onto Lincoln Road, but traffic cannot enter onto Eagleton from Lincoln. Detour options include 1st Street. While City Water and Sewer crews are finishing up a sewer main replacement on the section of Windemere Circle between Eva Jean Dr and Belmont Dr, Engineering and Public Works is preparing to replace the failing culvert in the same section. This will extend the closure of this section for another two weeks. Staff expects the road will reopen around the 9th of September. For more information, contact 273-3302.
